Incoming Erasmus+ for studies (Europe) - II

BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL
After being nominated by your home University, Sapienza central office will send you instructions
on how to proceed with your Application. Follow them carefully and complete the procedure by
the deadline they indicate.
You will also be contacted by the Erasmus office of our Faculty. The office will provide you with
all the information you need for your mobility, especially about the drafting of the Learning
Agreement. 
Once you complete the upload of the documents required by Sapienza (make sure to complete
them)  and your Learning Agreement is approved you will find the Letter of acceptance in your
Sapienza's account.
LANGUAGES REQUIREMENTS
Students are no longer required to provide an official certificate attesting their Italian language
level. However, we recommend that students have no less than an intermediate level of Italian
to attend classes and make daily life in Rome easier and more enjoyable.
ITALIAN LANGUAGES COURSES
Language courses are free of charge for all students who wish to attend them. In order to enroll in
Sapienza Italian language courses, incoming Erasmus students must fill out the relevant
section on their application form within the application deadlines!

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS WELCOME WEEK
Sapienza organizes an International Students Welcome Week at the beginning of each semester.
During the event, students receive useful information about academic and university life at
Sapienza. It is a great opportunity to meet the Erasmus staff and members of the Erasmus
Student Network (ESN).During the Welcome Week a specific Welcome Day is organized here at
the Faculty.
ENROLMENT IN EXAMS FOR ERASMUS STUDENTS - INFOSTUD SERVICE
As an Erasmus student at Sapienza, once you have filled out your online application form, you
will receive an username and a temporary password to access the Infostud service. You will have
to change your password to access other Infostud services. But, keep in mind that you are not
supposed to register on Infostud by yourself! At this point, your registration number (“matricola”)
will not be active, yet. Your registration number will be fully activated only once the Faculty
Erasmus office register and validate your arrival.
UPON ARRIVAL:
In order to do the registration, you shall take an appointment by contacting us and we’ll attend
you at the Faculty office. The day of the registration at the office is considered the start of the
mobility period.
 

TO ATTEND CLASSES:
Courses in the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering are open, you just go and attend the
classes. Timetables are updated just before the beginning of the semesters here.
TO TAKE EXAMS:
The exam sessions are scheduled in January and February for the winter semester, and in June
and July for the summer session. In order to take the exams, the chosen course must be
searched for and booked through Infostud. After the confirmation of the booking, you will receive
a receipt, which you have to print and bring to the exam to make it signed by the professor. This
is a very important document for validating the exams you took.
Remember: You cannot take any exam after the end of your mobility period!
END OF MOBILITY:
In order to end your Erasmus (at the end of the mobility period) you shall contact the office and
take an appointment and come to the office on the day you sustain your last exam or some days
after.
