The method of fulfilling the Additional Learning Obligations (OFA) for students enrolled in the 2025/26 academic year is defined by the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering as indicated below.
OFA CALCULATION – directions
Students enrolled in the following Three-year Degree Courses
- Aerospace Engineering (entry test)
- Chemical Engineering (entry test)
- Civil Engineering
- Clinical Engineering (entry test)
- Environmental Engineering for Sustainable Development (Latina campus) - (entry test to verify knowledge)
- Electrical Engineering (entry test to verify knowledge)
- Technological and Digital Innovation Engineering for the Built Environment (Rieti campus) - (entry test to verify knowledge)
- Energy Engineering (entry test)
- Mechanical Engineering (entry test)
- Mechanical Engineering for the Green Transition (Latina campus) - (entry test)
- Environmental and Land Engineering (entry test to verify knowledge)
- Sustainable Building Engineering (Rieti campus) (in English) - (entry test to verify knowledge)
Those who have not obtained a score equal to or higher than 18/50 in the TOLC I are required to complete the OFA.
Students enrolled in the Degree Course in Technical Professions for Construction and Land Management who do not obtain a score of 3 or higher in the eight questions included in the Mathematics test in the entry exam are required to complete the OFA.
Students enrolled in the Civil Engineering - Architecture degree course who have not obtained a score equal to or higher than 2 on the ARCHED test (Physics and Mathematics questions) are required to complete the OFAs.
Methods of fulfilling OFA
Additional training requirements (OFA) can be satisfied through one of the following methods:
1- Passing OFA test
- see the following WEB PAGE
2- Passing ONE of the following two curricular exams:
- Mathematical Analysis I (9 credits)
- Geometry (9 credits)
ATTENTION: until the OFA fulfillment, it will not be possible to take exams from years other than the first.
To facilitate the achievement or recovery of OFA, and support the start of a career, the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering organizes preliminary mathematics courses for all students (with and without OFA) in the classroom and online, starting in September 2025.
Furthermore, the Faculty organizes an intensive tutoring system to support freshmen throughout their first year of studies.
