Faculty Technical Operations Centers (PTO)

The Faculty has three PTOs located in San Pietro in Vincoli, Via Scarpa, and Via del Castro Laurenziano.

The Technical Operations Centers coordinate services and logistics within the buildings under their jurisdiction, verify and monitor the efficiency of the information systems and infrastructure that ensure the smooth running of teaching activities, and guarantee adequate levels of security within the complex in support of the security and surveillance staff.

In particular, they are responsible for:

• Welcoming users and providing them with information;
• Managing the lost property service (Lost & Found) within the buildings under their responsibility;
• Ensuring the sorting and delivery of incoming mail to the relevant offices;
• Promoting and helping to enforce the ethical and behavioural standards set by the University;
• Helping to ensure the application of energy consumption reduction standards;
• Verifying and monitoring the efficiency of IT and multimedia equipment and infrastructure that ensure the smooth running of teaching activities;
• Promote, oversee, and manage all logistics related to extra-curricular activities taking place both indoors and outdoors (exhibitions, concerts, screenings, conferences, etc.) in coordination with the accounting office;
• Promote the application of security policies in a planned and shared manner;
• Ensure the control and prevention of situations that could potentially damage the University's property, such as vandalism, sabotage, theft etc.;
• Verify compliance with the provisions governing vehicle access, traffic and parking in the area;
• Monitor the internal and external areas of the complex for security purposes;
• Ensure the control of service infrastructures;

Ensure compliance with the opening and closing hours of the facility.
